Mitsubishi has revealed its concept version of 2008 Lancer Evolution X. It is powered by 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine with over 300 horsepower and comes with choice of 5-speed manual or sequential-manual gearbox offered. Power will make it to the ground via S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control) system, featuring active steering and electronic yaw control.

Mitsubishi says the advanced technology represents the “largest leap in overall capability between two generations of the Evolution.”

Honda showcased its Fit Daily Active Concept Vehicle which focuses on the techno savvy youth’ at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2007. The car is equipped with cameras and sensors helping in reduce blind spot and LED daytime running light on the bumpers and lower skirt for increasing visibility to others. There’s also a 3-mode illumination system that allows occupant to select the interior lighting and this car can be equipped with an AVN system. AVN system combines navigation, game, inter-communication and audio-visual functions for use inside and outside the vehicle and can fit on the instrument panel or on front seat headrests.

The 2008 Honda FCX concept comes with a V Flow1 fuel cell platform consisting of a compact, high-efficiency fuel cell stack arranged in an innovative center-tunnel layout. While with previous fuel cell stacks the hydrogen and the water formed in electricity generation flowed horizontally, the new FCX Concept features vertical-flow design. This allows gravity to assist in discharging the water that is produced, resulting in a major improvement in water drainage, key to high-efficiency fuel stack performance. The new fuel cell vehicle currently under development for release in 2008, will feature the principle technologies of the FCX Concept to achieve a new dimension in environmentally friendly driving pleasure not found with gasoline-engine vehicles.
